The Oredo Revenue Review, Revalidation and Restructuring Committee has declared that Oredo Council has the capacity to generate over 1 billion Naira yearly, a discovery which is far greater than what the council is currently generating as revenue annually. 
The committee stated this during the presentation of their committee report to the executive Chairman of Oredo Dr. Tom Obaseki.

Recall that in a bid to enhance the revenue profile of Oredo Government Council  towards quality Infrastructure delivery, provision of requisite services and good governance for the good people of Oredo Local Government Council, The Executive Chairman of Oredo Government Council Dr. Tom Obaseki had set up the Oredo Revenue Review, Revalidation and Restructuring Committee to review all existing revenue sources, identify leakages, identify comprehensive income generation sources, recommend institutional reforms that will enhance revenue generation, recommend necessary legislative proposals to be considered to strengthen revenue collection, address issues of illegal and multiple levying and recommend where necessary capacity of staff to be strengthened.

In their findings, the committee identified enormous income generating potentials including over 29 new revenue sources and recommended the domestication of certain National and Sub National Revenue laws for effective revenue administration within the council. 

The Chairman appreciated the committee for carrying out their assignment diligently and assured that the recommendations will be reviewed by the management of the council for prompt implementation.

The Committee which was headed by Hon. Raymond Olaye, had Mr. Uyigue Agbondinmiwin, Prof. Falodun, Dr. Osaretin Enadeghe, Hon. Mark Idah and Hon. Samson Momore, Mr Sunny Okhuakemen, and others as members.
